Dr. Ute Bergner awarded with "Rudolf-Jaeckel-Preis" 2013 by the German Vacuum Association
November 19, 2013, VACOM's founder and managing director Dr. Ute Bergner received the Rudolf Jaeckel Award from the German Vacuum Association (Deutsche Vakuumgesellschaft). The prize was awarded for years of successful work in the field of vacuum technology as well as for the development of her company VACOM Vakuumkomponenten & Messtechnik GmbH into one of the European specialists for vacuum solutions.
The award was presented at the International Symposium for Vacuum Science and Technology at the Koszalin University of Technolgy in Kołobrzeg, Poland.
VACOM honored with "Great Award of the Mittelstand"
During a gala in Berlin on October 26, 2013, the managing directors of VACOM Dr. Ute Bergner and Dr. Norbert Bergner were presented with the Premier Finalist Award by the Oskar Patzelt Foundation. With the award, the successful development of the company, the creation and protection of jobs and apprenticeships in particular as well as the company's innovative drive were honored.
2013 more than 4000 small and medium-sized enterprises and SME-friendly municipalities and banks were nominated to compete for the "Great Award of the Mittelstand".

Additional president at the family business VACOM
Since October 1st, 2013, Dr. Norbert Bergner is the third managing director at the vacuum specialist VACOM Vakuum Komponenten & Messtechnik GmbH. He strengthens the family business which until then had been led by Dr. Ute Bergner and Jens Bergner. Norbert Bergner studied physics and got his PhD at the Friedrich Schiller University of Jena. In May 2013, he joined the family business as head of the marketing department.
