Founded 1992 in the Thuringian scientific and high technology center Jena, VACOM is one of the European market leaders for vacuum technology with worldwide activities.

Our core areas of expertise are Vacuum Hardware, Electrical Feedthroughs, Vacuum MeasurementVacuum Optics, and Ion Getter Pumps for applications from high vacuum to extreme high vacuum. In addition, we focus on innovative technologies for highest demands on the required cleanliness and particle freedom of products.
Innovative companies - e. g. in the field of analytics, semiconductors, electronics, optics, solar and accelerator technologies rank among our customer. We are globally certified as special supplier for future technologies like EUV lithography or medical accelerators. Long-term contacts in developing of special components, metrology and technologies exist to renowned research institutes like Max Planck, Fraunhofer and Leibniz association members.

Since its foundation with 2 employees, VACOM has grown continuously and employs today around 350 staff members. Specialists of different nationalities are working in our team with a high portion being scientists and highly qualified technicians. We manufacture on latest machinery in our 2011 erected spacious production and technology center with a total area of 5000 m2. 800 m2 clean room facilities enable us to meet highest demands on the purity of products. A highly contemporary logistics system guarantees the smooth flow of goods.

Our sales and marketing team – located at the headquarters in Jena - is available for you throughout the whole year from Monday to Friday, between 7.00 and 18.00 (CET).  Every sales team is at your service with technical consultants and commercial staff. The international sales teams are often able to communicate with our international customers in their mother tongue.
Our staff members at the location Sint-Job-in-'t-Goor near Antwerp in Belgium are the contact for our customers from Belgium, France, the Netherlands and Luxembourg.
Our business software enables the direct electronic data exchange via interfaces both in the commercial and technical area.

More than 20 scientists and technicians work in our research center. The laboratories are equipped with the latest measuring instrumentation and efficient computer technology for simulation. In addition, there are clean rooms at hand. Since 1993, VACOM pays special attention to apprenticeship and further education. More than 50 apprentices have successfully completed their training since then and the majority of them belong to the team today. Currently, more than 30 young men and women are trained in 10 commercial and technical professions.

Furthermore, we are dedicated to promote young scientific and engineering talents. For many years now, VACOM is a main sponsor of the Mathematical Olympiad in Jena. Students of the University of Applied Sciences Jena and the University Jena are supported by supervision of internships and thesis.As an owner-led family business we are focused on continuous innovation and sustainability.
